Allrighty then...................

Back from DC.....best guess is that when the truck revved to 6400 the engine went into valve float and I bent a valve or 2.....

Kevin at Exotic Engine Development and Dan have a plan...major lower end build...sleeved....pistons specific to Nitrous and new rocker gear....beefy timing chain....etc...etc...

The truck gets the motor pulled....and goes to get a CAGE...I am teling you now these things are a bitch with this kind of power.....5 point seat belts and twin driveshaft loops...

Then Unitrax will build the rear end and look at the driveshafts....

I should just try to buy Jack's truck......:D

Mike, great news man....how long until you are back on the road :dontknow:

Jacks is an RC and has a wing, so I don't think it's your style :D

What's the expected RWHP and TQ ratings?

Would love to see some pics of the cage when you get finished....

I didnt think you could rev these trucks that high (6400 rpm). I know when I was road racing I was floating around 6K for many seconds (not accelerating, not decelerating) and got me thinking whether this is good or bad or neither on the motor. If I were to have shifted earlier on the straight it would have taken longer to accelerate and slowed my lap time...plus I'd have to downshift several seconds later.

Its interesting that at the same time all these major truck builds are going on several/numerous supercharged/twin turbo Vipers are also going up for sale...including Kevins own car at Underground Racing.

Best of luck on the rebuild, you can make it better, stronger, faster (quo to 6 million dollar man music now).

Will know more on timing in a couple of days....but it is going to be a while.....but not as long as Blake....:D

RWHP will be modest with out the juice....low 700's....that will be my street rwhp...on street tires....I can't see needing more than that while on the radials....

But the point here is that we are going to the 500 shot on the NO2....

Let's see what 1200 rwhp will do going down the track...yum....lightning it's whats for dinner.....

yep....the tranny was trying to shift........will know more in a couple of days....figure I am lucky that I didn't hole the block....:D

Since my previous motor was running nitrous/propane and did hole the block I wonder how the previous owner was running. Either a rather large amount with a good tune or a small amount (thats what they claim but I havent found out exactly how much) and a poor tune...or a little bit of both.

sounds good mike.... best of luck on phase 2. And I know what ya mean about the nitrous, I had a 200 shot on a car that made me a junky. All this "cheating" crap I hear nowadays makes me laugh. I usually answer that if you get passed by a sprayed car or truck..... make sure you yell "CHEATER" at them fast.... because you wont get another chance. :burnout:
sooooooooooo on a side note......
Does this mean that 11.7 (corrected to 11.4) is the number still to beat for a quad cab? :dontknow:
:)

Not as lonfg as me huh??? Whatever shampoo boy......what was your 60' time?
the 60' time stunk,,,tires spun bad at about 20',,,,and i think the rear tires triggered the beams,,,,,sideways sam

With that kind of power you might need to copy true Performance on the "shop" truck that they are building. They took a 4x4 truck chassis and put it under the srt-10 QC and now they have the only AWD QC TT srt-10.....Imagine ALL 4 tires smoking like that! Yeeahhhhh baby!
