Why did you go with Weber, John? ..... (just curious) :)

Quality and price.

I have owned some Webers in the past, and was always pleased with them. I also looked at Viking and Dacor. Just didn't want to spend $6000.00+ for one. I'm expecting this one to last until I retire, and that works for me.

Truthfully I prefer charcoal myself, but my wife hates it. However this unit does have a built in smoker and burner, so I can still smoke a brisket when I want. In fact, that will be on the menu one day this weekend.:)

Well,I'm trying to do my fair share of stimulating the economy,we've been doing a bit of landscaping lately and using the little independents for our purchases !!!Let's see,6,826lbs worth of Cap rubble for garden borders,2,750 pounds worth of Compost,1,600 of Mulch and easily 40 flowering trees or shrubs !!!Damn I'm tired !!!But Not done yet either !!!:argh: :argh:

Replacement parts are a big part of the deal for me.... Here in the "rain forest", burners deteriorate very quickly. Nothing pisses me off more than going to get a replacement burner (need 4 of them) and find out each burner costs more than I paid for the whole damn grill!!! :argh: :argh: :argh: I know Weber has decent customer service, but what are the prices on their burners?

Sorry, but I can't help you out on that one son.

After 10 years, I just buy a new one.
