suspension problems

Upper ball joint? Mine did the same thing, After doing a 1080 down a wet road, i looked into it deeper and the upper ball joint was trash. Jack the front of the truck up and try to wiggle the tire.

i wonder if some idiot put some regular ram suspension parts on the front end. This is why I hate buying a used truck you just don,t know what you are getting yourself into.

not if it was hanging up you will only catch it when the caliper takes a shit. But the wheel will go straight when you hit the brakes because A. you appling pressure to both sides equally and B. that it usually when it gets unstuck when you tap the brakes. If it's not the ball joint like JB said. I am not saying that is what it is but if everything else is kosher.

It wouldn't cause the problem unless they only did one side but then your calipers would not bee the same.

if you suspect the frame being bent just take a look at the sway bar bushings and sway bar. the swaybar bushing wears away at the sway bar in the same place till the frame has been "tweaked". If the frame is bent you will see the wear marks in the sway bar

If the ball joint was bad I can't imagine that the alignment shop wouldn't have seen it. It does sound like a brake issue otherwise all these alignment shops are incompetent which I find hard to believe.

hey stinker I have the print out in front of me. my camber on the right is -0 06 my left is 0-01 my caster right front is 4*48 my left caster 4*18 my toe right side is 0*05 my toe left is 0*06 my cross camber is 0*07 my cross caster is -0*30 my total toe is 0*11

Go to a reputable alignment shop,They should show you your before specs,(My guess is,They will not match your printout).I have seen guys bump the heads on the machine just to get it out the door:mad: .Your specs should be more agressive on the driver side to compensate for road crown,And your specs tell me you should have a right pull. Also,Are your tires worn on the inside,Are they unidirectional,How many miles ???The 04/05 10s can be a pain to align.,Especially if its been lowered!I did my alignment after I lowered it,and it took a few times on the rack to get where I liked it.Hope this helps,And keep us posted on your results.I'm sure that you'll be happy:D

It is a 05 15,000 miles on her. At this point it is not lowered. I am wondering if the previous owner had a drop on it and took it off to re-coop some money and didn,t know what he was doing
