swap 17 rims w\ D.R. for 16rims w\slicks

Ironhead - You will be hard pressed to find someone to trade their 16's w/slick for 17 w/DR, but Good Luck. Keep an eye out they pop up from time to time. Also you might want to try the Dodge Ram forum you might get lucking and find a set there.

I did see one that was close to the height of M&H 390 40 17. I would like to switch to a 17" slick. Don't fell like shaving calipers or buying another set of wheels. But I don't think that I could with a shorter tire

I only saw the Hoosier 17" slick that was 28" tall. Not tall enough, the M&H 390 Drag radial is 29.5" tall.
