Sweet patrol car!....

I remember seeing some cops seized a brand new Porche with a bunch of coke in the back and now it's on the prowl. Top speed over 170 I believe. I wonder how the decide which cops get to drive these cars:dontknow:

I'm guessing that is a DARE or show car. No cage and no back doors would make it a pain to transport a subject...that or a pursuit vehicle. Looks bad @$$ though!

Pursuit vehicle.... The Camaros are getting older. ;) They've had them for YEARS around here. :burnout: Brevard County (a couple miles NORTH of Broward, where I live) still uses Mustang Mach 1's... although, they have a few unmarked SRT8 Chargers. :)

Could be a confiscated vehicle. They are famous for taking confiscated vehicles and making them patrol cars in Florida. When I lived down there they had a late 70's 280ZX Turbo all painted up in FHP colors and out on the prowl.

Hey guys. I have a confiscated vehicle story. Yall ready. . . . . . ??

OK like 5 years ago, I had a weirdo guy come in and want to test drive a $15,000 2002 Camaro Z28. We dont allow test drives in cars like that unless the buyer has some kind of bank paperwork ready to purchase the car. Well the guy was a cash buyer and gave me $10,000 up front, and said he just needed to go have it checkout out at Pep Boys before purchasing. Pep Boys was a 35 mile drive away from the dealership. The guy honestly did look like a crackhead, but I chanced it. I let him test drive it with $10,000 down, deal being as long as pep boys gave it a good report, he was buying. So I let him go.

About 4 hours later I get a call from Burleson PD (couple towns over) saying they have a guy arrested driving my car. They tried to pulled him over for speeding.....bad speeding too, like 85 in a 55 or something. He neglected to pull over and evaded the officer. The guy ended up wrecking the car into a guardrail while running from the cops.

Then they say the the guy has 11 ounces of Methanphetamine on him and they are seizing the car. I was like wait a minute, thats my car, you cant just seize it!!!!????? Well they did. Because the guy had paid money towards the car, they considered it his.

On court day like 2 years later(yes I said 2 YEARS later), the only way I was offered the car back, was if I refunded the guys $10,000 down payment, so they could seize that too. The car was wrecked though and now 2 years older than it was at the time. I wasnt about to give the guys $10k back for a wrecked Camaro. Well, I got the too bad treatment and they kept the car.

The car now sits in front of the Police station painted all up as a Dare vehicle for use at the school district. Its there right now as I type this.

I lost $3,000 I had in the car, $2000 profit I had made, plus $2500 in lawyer fees.

So what do you guys think about my Burleson PD donation???

it kinda funny. when i was about to buy my truck i almost bought a viper from Florida. it was a seizure and still had the hidden lights tucked in it. they do use some strange cars.
