Yeah, yeah, yeah....I know I will probably spend an eternity in hell and...even worse..be banned from all Viper forums for even asking this but..:musicus: ..

Has anyone switched an auto out of a QC to a RC?...I have found some threads on this but no answers...:dontknow:

I love a stick but have some issues that are aggrevated by working a clutch with my left leg...I can do it but driving in stop & go over time really works on me....not bad enough to keep me out of a stick but an auto would be better..I do not need the room of a QC and prefer a STD cab truck.....thoughts?....answers??...

I think it's mostly a money thing as it would entail tranny ,convertor, flywheel, trans cooling,drive-shaft ,quad wire harness, quad PCM and time .
I think someone on here found the best solution with the company that is making the manual trans that shifts by solinoids ,but I can remeber site and I dont think they were doing sales as it was being developed for the car manufactures .

I gotta disagree too.............. respectfully, of course.....:bs:

yes but a one off srt r/c??? might be worth it. might not. guess it all depends on personal prefferance and how big your wallet is

dodge did make an RC with the auto, so it's definitely possible.

The Srt-10's that were used for Pace trucks were built with auto trannys.:D

Can't remember if they were for Nascar , Nastruck, or Indy.:dontknow:

They were built though because the rules stated all Pace vehicles had to have auto trannys:D :D

the ones that ran around the track, hummmmmmmmm??? ohhh wait it was the ones they used as the pace trucks for nascar!!!!

ahhh here's the real question. they used the exact one that broke the guiness world record. and per guiness record rules it had to be exactly as they came off the assembly line and sold to the public. so here's the real? did dodge lie about using the record truck as the daytona pace truck, or did they use the stick truck??????? here's the article.

Hardly qualifies as a production vehicle........ let alone something you can buy...:dontknow:

maybe specialty built but built by dc

I think, if you really want to go this route, the best way would be to find a wrecked QC... All the parts should be there for a switch. :dontknow:

.... Hell, if Kalani can change his RC to RIGHT-HAND DRIVE ( ), this shouldn't be that big of a deal! :)

You can lower the flag now. :D

To clear up the other issues:

World Record Truck:
Bone stock 2004 SRT-10 RC w/6-speed manual transmission.
(In-cab roll bar and 5-point belts added for safety.)

NASCAR Craftsman Series Pace Trucks: Stock SRT-10 RC's with auto transmissions (installed by DCX). Not available to the public.

Just in case this got missed the first time around:

I wonder if that truck will pop up for private sale down the road. Definately voted most valuable IMO.

The world record truck, or the pace truck(s)?
