Tach Problem

I noticed that for the past couple of days my Tach has become jumpy. It will not rise smoothly, it will jump and sometimes get stuck at certain rpm's. It will also do this coming down as well. Sometimes it will sweep smooth, and sometimes it will be way off and jumpy. Anyone else run into this problem? My truck is a 2005 QC. Any help would be great. Thanks.

I work at a Dodge dealership and I have not heard of this at all yet.

Truck is dropped with an x-metal kit, and has a k&n drop in.

have not heard of this but could it be a cylinder missing? how many miles on your truck?

Mine is not what you could call smooth although it is not jumpy, like it can't keep up??

It has been that way since day one and still does it with the PCM which should not affect it anyway.
