Jan, I know a guy in Belgium and he's selling those adaptors for the 02-05 ram trucks.. He's asking 50 euro for it..
It's a little plastic piece of the dash (the same size as the factroy radio) include a adaptor for the antenna cable and wiring with plugs.
Last week i bought the same kit so i can remove the Pioneer avic n1 multimedia system with navigation out of my indyram and put it into my srt/10 when i've got the truck at home next week.. The radio control behind the steering wheel shouldn't work and that sucks, but my pioneer has his own remote control so i can live with that..
This guy from Belgium shipped it (with DPD) to my home in Holland and i received the kit 3 days ago...
Just send me a email for some more information.

might need one soon Elvin. details bro ! details !:D

http://www.pac-audio.com/products/productsCatagory.asp?mmSearch=Steering Wheel Interface

U are looking for the SWI-X for steering wheel control capabilities with aftermarket stereos. I use SWI-X with my Alpine head unit and it works great.:D

The SWI-X allows the customer to retain the use of their steering wheel or rear seat radio controls when replacing the factory head unit. The SWI-X also retains the use of heater control buttons on GM vehicles. The SWI-x features just can't be beat... The SWI-X is so universal that you only need one SKU# to cover over 95% of the vehicles made from 1986 to current. New vehicles coming out every year? No problem! Never be stuck with a vehicle specific type interface. The SWI-X has non-volatile memory which keeps all programming in memory even if the vehicle battery is disconnected. The SWI-X not only covers Ford, GM or Chrysler/Dodge but also it covers Acura, Audi, BMW, Buick, Cadillac, Chevrolet, Chysler, GMC, Honda, Hummer, Infiniti, Isuzu, Jaguar, Land Rover, Lincoln, Mazda, Mercury, Mitsubishi, Nissan, Oldsmobile, Pontiac, Saab, Toyota and Volkswagan. Oh, did we also say it covers Harley Davidson motorcycles?

thks VP;) , gonna remove the dash 2morrow and try to fix the RBQ radio.
If he's not co-operative he's gotta go !:D

No Floor... HE'S GOTTA GO ANYWAY.. The Pioneer you spoke of earlier.. You wil lbe happier with that for sure my friend..:D

I'm sure you are right.
A little afraid it will not stop with just the head unit....:D

You are correct. The factory speakers will have to go along with the factory amp and sub. The WHOLE thing. Only then will you have a stereo system worthy of your truck. Because Lord only knows Chrysler certainly didn't provide that.

UPDATE

Took the Radio out this weekend.
All the little fins between the various CD's in the loader were completely fkd up ! I managed to recover some CD's (Justin T is fine) but the US finest R&B got completely crushed.

Going to look for/install aftermarket radio soon.. I have a Sony lying arround somewhere (4 x 52 W + audio out for the sub) but Pioneer Nav it will be in the (near) future.
Need to work on my budget first :D :(

:eek:rly: :bs: if you think there's a link between the CD player and the donut (attempt)
I'm not sure if you should install the 4.88 gears yourself :D :bootyshake: :aetsch:

Changes in earth magnetisme during a donut are not in frequentie with the factory turning radius. So static electicity can be build up and stored in the frame as Faraday ever proved on a steam train ( which is comparatif with your QC ) .Now that litle bastard current wil surch for resistors because it wants to resolve itself in heat dissipation. Now taken in consideration that you have yourself made a attempt to do some wiring on your truck for your hitch it is best possible that you have mistaken the antenna cabel for a central + feed so fkd up all coax firewalls .That static current wil have found this way to enter your music stereo tower and heated your CD's...Now you can fix that easely by : either making that donut in reverse or plug in a light bulb one way frame other way your.... you know. :elefant: :D :elefant: :D

PS if you choose the reverse donut you have to go to about the same spot because there's the deviation on earth magnetisme. Doing this at home can even make things worse. :burnout:
