Tailgate lock

Anyone know if the Pace Edwards electric tailgate lock comes with a new handle?

Or is it just the solinoid and you keep your factroy handle?:dontknow:

My tailgate handle is already painted and if this kit comes with a new handle I will just have to make my own locking system.:slug: And that will take more time.:slug:

I believe it only comes with solenoid and slide bolt with nylon guide block.

No new handle, My grey 06 had an after market keyed handle and I am seriously trying to get rid of all the keys I have to carry around so Wifey helped me out with a stock handle and Pace-Edwards helped me out with one less key!
Great mod and in combo with the E-Z loader tailgate shock a win win !

That is correct. The PE is just a solenoid activated slide bolt that installs inside the tailgate and it uses your existing handle. Your gonna love it.

As I recall it used existing screws and no holes needed to be drilled. Oh, yeah.....it wires into your power lock system and locks and unlocks the tailgate along with your door locks using your current remote control.
