I came across one once, but can't find it anymore. It was either leather or cloth and wrapped around the tailgate with straps. I would like something like this for when I take my kayak out. I will be driving with the tailgate down, and don't want to mark up the exterior of the tailgate. The inside is already scratched so I don't care about that. Does anyone know what I'm talking about, or know where to get one?

Thanks!

I have seen them at a Trailer supplier they are made of vinyl. I think they are made by Softride

Hi,

If it is just temporary what you need, take one of those
Magnetic fender covers which they use in a Body Shop or
Car repair.

Thanks! That was exactly the one I've seen in the past.

Bedrug that biatch ;)

Lol. I've thought about it as future mod. But I'm just worried about the side that will be facing the ground while driving.

That is actually a good cheap option, just not sure the magnets will hold while driving. Maybe I could strap it on as well.

Snap On makes a extra long fender cover. I picked one up to protect the bed side while lifting things in. It also covers the nose perfectly between the headlights. Even let the shop guys use it while servicing the truck. Some of the best $ I ever spent.
