I want one, my friend has one, it's amazing .50 cal handgun that weighs 5lbs loaded, bullets are $2.50 each. Anybody here got one with some feedback?

Can you hold 5lbs up? :aetsch:

Watch how he comes back and says that his pecker weighs more than that. :D But from what Dan tells me, it dont.:elefant:

i shot one 10+ years ago and it had problems which i hear they have fixed, every time i pulled the trigger it would eject the clip. i would do a freedom arms 454 casull if u want real power and a quality gun.

i heard it would hurt if you threw it at someone and hit them in the head. would likely leave a nasty bruise

Iv'e seen and fired one....with me being a everyday pistol carrier (used to carry a 9mm glock switched to a .40) .....I ask why do you want this particular pistol and what will it's primary purpose be before I comment on what I think about it

I'l say it...... Its too fricking BIG :D

I want a handgun to keep around for protection and just to have. I love the desert eagle, always have, just figured if I got one I'd keep it forever.

As for Wally and Sanqueen, keep your keebler asses out of this thread, this is for the adults to discuss, or at least the people tall enough to be adults :D

Seriously, as far as using it for protection, look elsewhere.
I have a 9mm and a .38 I have for protection. I am seriously looking at a Judge. It will fire 410 shotgun shells :D
If someone breaks into my home, chances are it will be when I am asleep. The way I look at it, with the 410 shells, I have a better chance of hitting the target. Also good for those car jackers.

Kennys father has the judge, it's pretty awesome, but with a .50 cal you could miss and still give them a heart attack :D

Plus you could shoot them through a few walls if necessary...

You should have a visual of who you are shooting at.

A piece like that is impractical unless you intend to hunt big game with it... Even then, it's a bit impractical unless you intend to euthanize yourself as a last resort.

However, it is a novel and fun prospect just to put that much power in your hand and let it fly..... And what red blooded American male could refuse that....?

Enjoy.

P.S. The guys in those films demonstrate an unseemly low regard for women. It's really a pity.

Personal protection/carrying around......NO!!!! Buying one cause it looks cool and you want to show off your big gun to your buddies....YES....this gun is fricking huge, bullets are expensive and they have crazy recoil....not even fun to shoot awhole mag......it starts to hurt....QUICK!!!! if your looking for home protection get a splatter gun brotha (shotgun!) with some nice bird shot!! pistols penetrate walls and people, you dont want that at all! plus the sound of the shotty cocking is trembling!!

Desert Eagle, Cool as can be. Practical for protection, not so much. It'll go through your bad guy and a couple walls possibly taking out innocents. Shotgun, very effective but a little cumbersome in close quarters (car etc.). Get yourself a .357 revolver and load it with shotshells. Makes a big bang, gives you a little spread, won't go through your bad guy and then walls. It's a handheld shotgun. Plus you can shoot 38 specials in the same gun for practice. you can get them in .45 too.
