here is my opinion...

be like 50cent and get a chromed DE....fine...that's all it's worth...

but if you want a really nice, high quality big bore round, besides the 500 mag, or the .50 bmg pistol

get a 454 casull...

my buddy has one just like this...with a holographic scope though... like the bottom pic....

but unless you're hunting an elephant or a rhino....you don't want to kill your neighbor in the process

but if you want a personal protection round...you get one of these:

.45 cowboys or 410's...

and you keep these rounds loaded while you're in the house asleep

i had a soldier hit on of my team leaders in the hand cause he got a little trigger happy and a round went through the wall...

Another thing you gotta think about cody and troy... with a shotty and a de, yes they can protect your home but what if you need to carry??? (with a license of course)

I've had mine for three years now without an problems, but I haven't shot 20 rounds through it. It doesn't kick anywhere near as bad as my s&w 44 mag or the Taurus raging bull 454. For home I have an old 20 gauge. And I normaly carry my baby eagle.

I like the gun but it's really impractical for anything other than WOW factor. I think it's kids like our trucks to most people.

Plus you could shoot them through a few walls if necessary...

Your kids and neighbors too....The Judge with 410 shells is the way to go. The mess would be nasty, you dont have to be a great shot...and you wont be when you are about to shoot a person for the first time and it wont go through the walls and kill unintended targets

I saw an article once where a shooter was grasping the gun with one hand forward of the cylinder. The picture above is a great example why you shouldn't do that. The gasses escaping between the cylinder and the barrel will rip off your thumb or whatever else is in the way.

The DE is over kill for home defense....it is just a "show & brag" gun....buy a revolver in a 357 or 44mag caliber and use Glaser Safety slugs....
