I have one! Black .50AE. The shells tend to eject into your face. It's expensive to shoot. The kickback doesn't bother me, but I am 6'6" 315lbs. I would not buy it again. It's just not practical to carry or shoot on a regular basis. It's a look at me gun. Save your money and get a FN 5.7 x 28.

Agreed 100%! It's been so long since I shot mine I forgot about the erratic shell ejection!

Bird shot is the way to go to minimize penetration with a shotgun. Plus the situation I visualize is my round stopping in the bad guy and not penetrating through him and a number of walls. The way they had that test set up a sling shot could have done that much damage.

I say it's neat to shoot with buddies a few times and just collect other than that! I have a S&W shorty .500 as well for those fun days. Desert Eagle .50 has nothing on a S&W .500. Talk about a hole puncher!!

Doesn't the Desert Eagle .50 also interchange to a .357 with a barrel and clip swap?

I have DE in the "Polished Deep Blued w/24K Gold Appointments" option. I got a great deal on it because I bought it off my boss. I got it for that "WOW" factor. I know how impractical it is. I'm a big guy and it still feels huge in my hand. Just something nice to have. My carry handgun is a SIG p220 "carry" model. Just a bit shorter than the regular p220.

I own a FN Herstal 5.7 and love the shit outta it. It's the replacement gun among most of Texas S.W.A.T. teams. Basically an undersized .223 you can shoot 20 times outta pistol. How sweet it is!

Fabrique Nationale makes some of the best weapons in my opinion......Which is why secret service and alot of "other" people use there weapons The five-seven is an awesome weapon...for those that don't know...the five seven shoots a shortened 5.7 mm rifle round:rock:

I just watched a review on it. Very expensive weapon at close to $1000 bucks. There are rounds available for it (police or military only) that will penetrate kevlar as in bullet proof vests. Very Glock like. Mostly all plastic which saves a lot of weight.

Yep they are a powerful little lightweight weapon. I bought one when they were first released to the public. Along with various rounds from Kevlar piercing to tracer rounds to a sub-sonic high velocity round.

You can't go wrong with a FN 5.7x28. It comes with three 20 round mags. You can get 30 round mags and have 90+1 at the ready off of 3 mags! It doesn't have shit for recoil, accurate as hell. Comes with a rail system built in. Best purchase I have ever made on a handgun. Ammo is cheap too. Around $19-$25 a box. I'd consider selling my .50AE to get another FN like a FNP .45 tactical.

For about $400 it seems like the way to go

It is still going to penetrate several walls, however you want to test it.

That is why I load up with a bean bag as my first round.
