Ok guys, Torrie just emailed me and said that i can expect around 25whp and 36ft/lbs of torque on a RC with his SCT tuner (and 3 tunes) for $500.
Thats seems like alot of cash for 25whp.

Whats a better mod, that will give me more bang for my buck, possibly around the same price range?

Port and Polished intake :dontknow:

And i dont want nitrous (right now anyway, unless i can get a kit like FatJacks for around $500)...

Help me out guys, thankx a million!

How much for just the tunes? I already have a SCT but need to have tunes added to it.

Get the tunes, it will make the truck much more fun to drive.

Seat of the pants is sooooooo much fun in a tuned truck compared to stock.

The tune is probably the biggest bang for the buck next nitrous there is.

If I were starting from scratch with mods I would start with a tune as you get much more power and response down low. The torque increase makes the truck responsive and as I said FUN to drive compared to stock.

Torrid usually charges $200 for just the tune. Includes 3 tunes.

Yes you can.

Besides the increased fun factor, if you're going to do any additional mods down the road you will want/need a tuner to get the most out of the additions. Might as well do it first.

sounds pretty good, probably best bang for the buck.

heck catless mids will run $400 and you have to install them. they wont give you that much trq

Torrie wrote the original Roe Tunes........Get the tuner, as already mentioned $500 aint bad for 25 hosses and the tuner will make future mods work better..

Right on good buddy

Ive already had a VEC 3 on this truck, i dont want to go that route again with having to hardwire everything in like that. The OBDII port is so much easier ;)

yor welcome buddy, those should at least be in the zip code of being correct, but should hopefully have your rear window decal hopefully tommorrow, send me your new addy so I know where to send it sir:D

What plugs give 10hp?
most folks I have talked to that have replaced there oem plugs after say 20,000 miles can actually "feel" a difference, if you can feel it , in a 5000lb truck, it has to be at least 10 hp

Ok well im at 18k with oem plugs and with the new plugs coils wires and tb I'm hoping for some of that hp increase
