have to fill a small hole in the exhaust. Between the second cat and the muffler. Appart from welding, would chemical metal do the trick? That's resistant to temps up to 160°C (320F). Dunno how hot the exhaust can get ... anubody an idea?:dontknow:

take it to a muffler shop and have them weld it up, they shouldnt charge you much. if its a threaded bung but a short bolt in it. i dont think that would stay on there. jb weld might
 
welding s better i know but i have the loctite metal and need a quick (temporary) fix.... how hot is our truck ?
 
I have an infrared thermometer but I'm not going to drive her today.. sorry.
maybe someone else has a IR thermo.

BTW it gets really hot!
