Tracing wires is a PITA! Taking the upper intake manifold off isn't too big of an ordeal if you decide to get those injectors tested.
 
i read your artical and am i reading this right a set of gen 3 heads bolt up to a iron 10 ,,,,??????
 
Bolt up yes. Hold water no, not without serious mods. Others have been very successful with the Gen 1 heads. They make getting water out of the block considerably easier than the Gen 2,3,4,or Striker. Any of them can be done it depends on your determination and pocket book.
