I wanted to share my experiences with my traction setup on my truck. I was out at the local hotspot and an 03 cobra and LS1 camaro roll up. I decided to run the Cobra, knowing I didnt have much chance, but told him we had to go down low. His car was pullied with exhaust, he claimed 13 psi (about 5 psi over stock). We went from 20 or so on a concrete highway. I pulled an easy 1/2 truck right away , barely squeeked the tires at the top of first, scratched second (powershifted) and dead hooked all of the rest. I had a 3/4 car lead by the top of second on a much faster car (he put less than two cars on me by 110). He was very suprised at how hard it hooked, while he spun (he was on OEM F1's). Next was the camaro, this is a heads/cam, 4.30 gears, MT et streets, etc. car, no slouch (has went 11's on motor with the former owner). We went from the same 15-20 MPH punch and he couldnt pull an inch on me, in fact we both shifted to third about the same time (both T56's) and he still hadnt moved on me at all (he missed third BTW). No one could believe how hard the truck hooked and how good the suspension works. BTW its an 05 RC w/4.56's, CAI, headers, full exhaust, stock tires. For suspension I had my stage 3 traction package installed (minus the race snubbers). I actually still have a couple more traction aids that I'll be testing next week, and I havent even fine tuned my shocks yet, but I just thought I would share this. I'll post more info tomorrow, its time for bed after a 14hr day LOL.

I guess I am not shure where you are coming from, rolling traction has never been a problem unless you have a super or something.

Evidenlty the guy in the 11 sec camaro can't drive...lol....gota love that.

NEVER MIND, I didn't see the N2O in your signature. I'll wake up, it's still early. Good runs

I'm willing to test out your ideas for QC's for free.:D :D

Sounds like you are really on to a good thing here. Traction is huge!!! Good job Justin!!

from a 50 roll in 2nd on the 175 shot the truck spins pretty hard:rock:
On the 125 shot 1st gear is usless on this cold pavement. (QC auto):D
Hope it hooks better at the track

I don't think he was spraying! I think he is planning on spaying!!

At least that is how I read it!!

Can I get more details on the stage 3 package?

The amount of weight transfer over non adjustables is unreal, Im going to try and post a video real soon of my truck doing some launches to show how big the difference is.

What is the benefit of the adjustable shocks for the QC's?

Remember that shocks dampen movement of the suspension. That's why a lot of drag racers have shocks that allow the front to rise easily, and then hold it up higher to transfer the weight to the rear.

Thats the best explanation of weight transfer I have ever heard! Simple and gives the visual so you can understand it. Nice Silverback!
