Just testing waters but would anybody be interested in buying a used VEC III (viper engine controller III)? I came from Roe Racing and is currently installed in my truck and works great. Any interests or suggestions of what i could get out of it?

What exactly does the vec III do? Fuel management? Is it beneficial to a non tuned engine?

Im not 100% sure on this but i believe it allows you to tune your engine in several different ways. I have 2 tunes for it right now both on tune cards (chips or whatever you call them). One is a street tune and the other is a race tune w/ Nitrous.

Im sure someone on here will better explain this system, or you can contact Sean Roe @ Roe Racing...

it piggybacks the ecm ,,so you can custom tune it ,,,you can get a software program and do it from you puter ,you can get tunes on cards from say roe and such ,,i do beleive it also data logs ,plus many more gizmos to adjust :D

Thanks Psycho Mythic...and Ironhead I always hear about them and have been wondering what they do....I don't even have a programmer for my truck yet, I'm still working on that?

Since the advent of the sct controller the vec seems to have lost its steam. Yes you can use it with your computor, but the hacking into your wiring harness and all those injectors is quite a lot of work compared to plugging in a sct and in minutes your done.

I cant imagine Roe sells very many anymore. Prolly sells way more sct's.
