Kudos to Muscletrucks for the event,
Mickey/Eva, Brat & Julie for handling all the donation's, check, and presentation:rock:
And to all the great people that donated and attended
This was my truck's last hurrah (with me), and I was honored to take best truck...:dontknow: I voted for Earl.... we busted our ass cleaning that truck the night before...she feel's like glass though:rock:
Nice job on the slideshow's... you two BTW: (Turtle get's "wiggly" at 120 mph)
Nice subtitle Itch...... "I hate you... I love you... " ;)
Lovethistruck.... I want you to know that this truck...your truck, represent's the wonderful people that I have had the honor and priveledge of meeting, knowing, and GTG with, over the past 4 year's.... for that in it of itself is the single most "troublesome" thing that I have a hard time getting over when the 10 depart's my home for your's. Know that she has a represented history here, and that she will alway's have a place in my heart.
Know that I will alway's be here at the VTCOA. With or without a 10....in the hope that the future could only provide me with another someday, and that she can stand for all that my 10 has done for me as of today.
She is a winner, be proud to own her.... she run's so damn good.

It will be strange thinking of your truck in someone else's hands. But the process is bound to happen for all of us...

Guys & Gals,

I don't even know where to begin...

What a great event we had in Tampa. It was my true pleasure meeting each of you. I wish I would have had more time to just sit and hang out with all of you great people. But, duty called and I had to make sure everything went smoothly with the event.

To echo an earlier post by Prof; the Geriatric Oncology Consortium (the non-profit group you all raised money for) will be using 100% of all funds collected to develop and run support groups for older adults with cancer and their caregivers. GOC's general administration costs are covered by doing cancer research and medical education programs for medical professionals. All of the costs to host the event were either donated (food by the Hut and Salt Rock) or covered by funds from the sponsors of the event. So ALL of the funds raised at any of our events go directly to support the people who we (the GOC) serve, older adults with cancer and the people who provide them care.

We will be doing this event again next year. If you have any suggestions on how we may improve the event, please PM me or send me an email to [email protected]. If you have any questions about the GOC or are ever in need of any help or information regarding cancer use my email any time.

Thanks to everyone for a great time, and the new friendships.

Rob

Rob, it was nice meeting you as well.Sorry we didn't get a chance to talk more.I know you were busy with the event. My son and I had a great time and looking forward to the next one.My mom is recovering from breast cancer so this event really hit home for me.What a great cause.I wish we would have had a better turn out both cars and trucks!!Maybe next year. And hopefully they wont be tearing up the freaking road the day of the event.!
Locked in to the Tampa area? I know there is a big cruiser club in naples that may be interested in getting involved next year.Let me know and I would be happy to check in with them and see what kind of interest level they have.
take care and THANK's for all you did for the event. Mike:rock:

Again, I thank you and the rest of the family on here for attending & donating to the cause, without ya'll there is no event. For the first year of an event I think the turn out was pretty good. With word of mouth and tweaking a few things, next year I would expect at least 100 + cars. We have already discussed looking for a place to start that has a paved parking lot, and trying to get a more scenic cruise route and using a local radio personality to serve as an emcee to keep the event lively. We will probably stick to Tampa at least next year for planning reasons, but we hope to add a new city every year.

If anyone has any other thoughts or suggestions on how we could improve the event please let me know.
