I don't know if a single laptop will have enough computing power to solve all of my roadblocks.

Pushrods came in today and they are already installed.

Joe started wiring up the (used) VEC 2 that I bought and realized there are only 1 side of the connectors present. Having Roe overnight a new set tonight.

Hope to fire it up and start tuning tomorrow. If he does, I'll go down there and get some video. New cam should have some serious lope to it. I hope so.:burnout:

First who's Shade? Second, is he our computor connection now?

Third, you gotta love overnight service. I am doing a lot of home remodeling right now..........got the skylight going into the master bath.....Lowes sells me the wrong flashing and come to find out, there is no more available in the state. Call my bro in Va Beach, he purchases Tuesday and ships via Fed X. It was delivered to my office Wed afternoon!!! 5000 miles overnight dudes!!!! Awesome!!! My installer didnt lose a beat!! I got blue sky and tradewinds in my bath now!!!

No problem! I am more than willing to use my connections to hook you guys up with computer crap. Its not just a hobby of mine but I am an IT engineer for a living and along the way I have picked up a few good connections for computer hardware/software/etc

If you dont know much about computers or aren't sure what you need just ask and I'll get you going in the right direction.

Yes I can fix your 'old' computers (I normally charge $120 an hour) but I'll hook you guys up.

Dont ask about fixing your trucks I can barely get the gas in right.

Only on this site:

a computer from a guy named "shade"
a kit from a guy named "boomer"
parts from a guy named "dragon"
shampoo from a guy with hair length you could measure with a micrometer
screwings from a guy with a classy name like Hennessay

no wonder the new folks have a time figuring this all out:D

Question for you

I think I want to switch to an Apple Laptop....yeah or neah. If yeah, what do you suggest. If neah, what do you have that is about the same as the Dell XPS laptop system? ....thank you in advance for your help ..... Shade.

I am definately not bias but apple sucks :) Their hardware is OK but 98% of the good applications are written for PC's (ie Windows).
If that ever comes around then it may be worth a look but for now def not.

I can get anything Dell including XPS, I have a good friend that works for Dell :)

If you have a specific model in mind let me know or if you want a recommendation PM me how much your budget is and I will get a model choice for you.

I agree with Shade, the only way I would look at a Mac is by adding a partition (another 'space') on the hard drive to install Windows XP.

OS X is a beautiful operating system but is very limiting in the amount of software available.

By loading another partition with XP your essentially 'nulling' the reason you bought a mac in the 1st place.

Maybe so, but it allows you to be backwards compatible without trying to use emulation software which can be extremely slow and flacky.

There isn't much difference between MACs and PCs other then the software running them, now that MACs use Intel processors. Might as well take advantage of it.
