Great men are remembered for how they lived not for how they died. So let us all say a prayer for the family ,friends and the United States of America, that he loved so much. In honor of WOODY iam lowering my American flag to half staff to honor of my fellow fighting brother. i would like everyone that has one to do the same and as you do this place your hand over your heart and thank God for the country that he served so proudly served.

You said it well cowboy-up, as the prof did.

Just want to add -- I have had a flag hanging off the front of my house since 9-11. It has hung almost straight out, half mast, since 9-11. At that time every other house had a flag hanging from it. Now -- Not so many. It saddens me that so many forget. bobby mac

You know alot of americans have short memories. Myfather was also a retired lt. commander in the navy. I guess that was one of the things that pulled me to woody. I am glad to see that alot of people here still remember our flag and what it means and the men and women who have fought for it.

I received this email from Mary Woodruff today. I wanted to pass it on, as it was addressed to everyone here. :) May God continue to bless Woody and his family.

Dear Jake and all Viper Truck Club Of America Members
Thank you all from the bottom of my heart for the beautiful Flowers and money that you all sent.
I have sent Thank You emails but don't know if they were received.
Woody was a highly decorated retired Special Forces Shoulder. HE LOVED HIS FAMILY, HIS COUNTRY AND HIS SRT/10 VIPER TRUCK. I WISH YOU ALL COULD HAVE MET HIM. All though Vietnam had taken it's thole on his body and his mind. He was happiest when he and his best friend Mark were working on their Trucks. Woody's 04 and Marks 06.
Again THANK YOU ALL SO VERY MUCH.
Mary
