THAT'S IT, I'VE HAD IT....

I don't wish to be argumentative, just attempting to find an understandable common ground between the two schools of thought....

Here goes:

I've always thought that our brakes were very grabby..... In other words, they almost worked too well.

If the PF pads are slightly less grippy than the OEM pads, I personally have not noticed.

Point of order: If the brakes are locking up and engaging ABS anyway then what's the difference.....? Hell, I'm so ignorant, I don't even know if we HAVE ABS or not.... Although I think they're mandated by law...not sure...

All in all, I still believe the brakes are still super effective and I haven't really notice any reduction in braking power using PF pads...

What I have noticed is how my front wheels aren't caked with grey dust within one day of cleaning them.... I wash my truck and teflon spray it every week... On that schedule, my front wheels are NEVER even slightly dusty...

I hate to use the term but......"bling bling"....I like it..

Not disagreeing.....everyone mods as they like....just voicing that everything is a tradeoff...

I just bought some Bendix Ceramic pads for the front. They are advertised as being a lot less dusty and less noisy than stock. They are suppose to be some new technology or something. I don't know about stopping performance. I pick them up tomorrow and will install them ASAP. The part # is D966CT at Advance Auto or PartsAmerica.com. I'll give feedback in a couple weeks after I've had a chance to put them through their paces. If anyone has had any experience with these pads, chime in.

thats bullshit! when is PF going to make some for the '05's!!!!!! bastards!

I think the rear pads are the same on both trucks (I could be wrong)..
If so, you can at least stop your rear pads from dusting and squeeling.

As I have said before, someone with an 05 could take off their pads and carry them into Autozone and compare them to other Dodge truck pads that PF DOES make and they may find a match. I found the 04 part # by doing that and found they were the same as Ram 3500 pads.;)

Hold off running down to Advance for these Bendix pads. They are wrong. I believe they are the rears. Even though they were listed as fronts on their computer:mad: . Going back down there tonight to see if Bendix makes them for the front. I may try the Friction Masters that someone posted on another thread if the Bendix are not available.

Dude, I had the same issue with Performance Friction.....as I said a couple of posts ago....take your front pads off and carry them into the store. Compare them to the different models the mfg carries. See what matches up with them. PF thought any Ram 1500 pad would fit our trucks too. ;)

If I take my front pads off and then drive to the store, How the heck do I stop when I get there:dontknow: ? (Kidding). I went ahead and ordered the Friction Master Ceramic Pads. We'll see tomorrow if they are the right ones. They are a different part # than the 04's whereas their computer showed the same part # for both 04 and 05 in the Bendix pads (doh!). I'll do a little research to see if any other Ram brake pads look like they might fit the 05 SRT-10. Thanks for the heads up.
