WEll, if any of you are ever out here in the Los Angeles area, give me a holler and I'll take you over to the SR-71 Blackbird Airpark, it's located about 10 miles from where I live.

I'd have to dig around to find it, but we were allowed to have our cars parked directly under the nose of one and take some awesome photos of them.

There is also a YF-12 (Pre SR-71), SR-71 and D21 Drone.

When were you on the Rock? I was stationed at Camp Foster while stuck in the Camp Quie Army Hospital for a while in 68 and 69. Used to go to the Airmans Club at Kadena all the time, Best EClub in the world.

I was in Kadena last year...the E-club hasn't changed probly in the last 30 years....well, except for the slot machines and the beer. I bet the bartender is probly even the same as both of you remember!LOL!

I still remember the first time I ever saw an SR-71 up close. I was an Airman (E-3 in the Navy) and we had a kid straight from Russia in our squadron. The Master Chief (E-9) told the Chiefs (E-7) to get him the hell away from it! ....Those were the old days....can't say that shit nowadays.
