We have a Politics and Dow Jones thread.

I figured that the economy comes up so often now that it is really a seperate topic. Lots of info gets lost between the many thread so in an effort to streamline comments, I figured this was a good idea.

I thought maybe a few vids from Dr. Paul would be good here. He stated we were in a recession last year, exactly when we are being told today that it started. He describes what was coming with the housing market and how things were going to take a turn for the worse last year.

Here is a statement about what the presidents role in the economy should be according to the constitution.

The Constitution is very clear that the president is commander in chief of the military, but the president is not the commander in chief of the economy or of the people. When we get reflection of conventional wisdom, but of a lot of lack of understanding of how the economy works. The president is not supposed to manage and run the economy. The people are supposed to do this. The government is supposed to give them sound money, low taxes, less regulation. The people are supposed to run it.

Please post up and lets opena good discussion on this subject.
