Today on the freeway seemed to be any other normal commute. But then there it was, a black on black ’06 C6 Vette with black wheels. I got a bit nervous seeing it and made sure it wasn't a Z06, or I would have blended in with the traffic and disappeared. Anyway, that foolish voice in my mind told me to not pay any attention to intimidation and a possible ass whuppin’. JUST GO FOR WHAT YOU KNOW! Okay so I breeze by it and didn’t see a response (at first). It always seems to take people a while to read "VIPER" next to the emblem on the tailgate before they start to engage. But as I am approaching the exit freeway interchange (thinking it was over before it started) I see it speeding up. I thought it wasn’t going my way but wouldn’t ya know it? The C6 found itself changing to the same freeway as well. Okay so I’m thinking there’s going to be a showdown. But the C6 faded away in my rearview. I take the time to slow all the way down to 50 just so this guy or gal could catch up. Well here it came with picked up speed and passed me. I change lanes and drop her to third to catch up. I stayed behind it for a while before the driver switched to the next lane on our right. I took that as a sign that we're going to give it a try. Back at fourth and I am right beside it. I think the driver was just trying to get a look at #1900. I stayed put at about 75 and 6th gear by now keeping our formation for a little while. I was feeling like if I hit it now that thing will probably put up and I’ll have to shut up. But then I saw the opportune moment to make a move. Yeah, a very narrow opening between other motorists. I dropped it from 6th to 4th and blasted through that opening pushing quickly forward. By the time the C6 figured out what was happening I was long gone and back in 6th. He tried to catch up crazily cutting in and out between traffic. I dropped her in 5th and floored her. I swear I had her up so fast that I didn't bother taking my eyes off the road to look down at the speedo. Let's just say a road that would look like this...

Began to look more like this....

I didn't see that C6 again until 15 minutes later. By then I had already changed freeways again. I saw it behind me seeming like he wanted to come after me but I never granted it a second chance. Besides, it was time for me to get off at my exit anyway. I dunno, those C6's are indeed pretty damn quick. I mean aerodynamics, horsepower, weight, I could have been here talking about getting a kill on ME. If it were a Z06 I would have made sure to stay away from it.

Anthony, Anthony, Anthony...............As if racing on the freeway isn't bad enough...:(

I absolutely will not tolerate your complete unwillingness to create a simple paragraph.....:dontknow: ;) :D

:dontknow: I was trying to get every little detail in during a short period... HAHA Period.. some grammar humor. But I will certainly work on breaking up the next tale with some paragraphs.

Paragraphs are another tool to help communicate the suspense and place emphasis the nature of our existence. But, the story has a happy ending.

One of the major benefits of my latest mod is the broadening of my kill range...while I have not yet paired off with a Z06, I am looking forward to the opportunity, rather than our ususal "melt into the traffic" approach.

I had a run-in with one of those Burnt Orange colored C6's on the highway last week, but we had an open stretch of road - never passed another vehicle while ahem, 'playing'. (140:D )
