The new Ride

96 Blue/White GTS I will get some picks out in the sun tomorrow. Funny thing is I got my first ticket within three hours of getting the car. Drove all the way back from Houston to Austin and got a speeding ticket on the Toll 2 miles from my house. The DPS trooper said I was going 84 in a 70 and cited me for this along with a warning for no insurance, no front plate. The insurance card was in my truck that was being driven home by my friend. Best part was when the trooper asked if there was a reason for the excessive speed

I picked it up in Houston for a dealer who had bought it to use as his personal car. It has 28k miles and I paid $42k, he was asking 44k and I couldn't bring myself to pay that. I pointed out the things that I thought would bring the value of the car down, 44k is at or below the going rate anyhow. I then straight face offered the guy 39k for this car and his faced looked as if someone kicked him in the junk. I'm in sales, had to try but His reply was expected. When it was over we reached 42k and everyone was happy. Now its time to get use the driving the thing, still not sure what 6th gear is for

I'm on vacation all next week so I will have some "bonding" time. There is a date with the tint shop very soon, sun visors in that car only go one way and that's down.
