Everything is technically a bolt on I guess, it just depends on who is doing the screwing and boltin...

Sure it is.Stinker said:not the bolt on an average Joe could do

after a million dyno runs, one thing always pokes thru the rest with the biggest gains-our catless mid pipes, then our computer flash.Stinker said:There has been alot of discussion about N/A hp trucks .
and most people want just a good ol fashion bolt on, one they can do quick and at home.
So with this lets create a list of mods that will give the most bang for the buck.
Also lets post up where the best price you can obtain these mods.
now we know we have great vendors, but lets mention them if we only have prices.
THAT is what most are concerned with, the best deal possible.
so here is the start of the list add on fellas.
just remember we are talking bolt on driveway mods with simple tools the average Joe or joenettecan do.
1. Drop in air filter
(seems as tho all CAI's give same performance gain)
2. Long tube headers
(best hp)
3. short tube headers
(decent hp for $)
4. Catless or hi flow mids
5. Magnaflow cat back
6. computer flash
7. shifter for the 6 spds
Anything else?
And post where to buy but include prices![]()
vendors are urged to post![]()

with our offroad mids $410, magnaflowcatback $468, bassani headers$999 and a X-metal program $430 in the computer,
we see 530ftlbs of torque, and 480+hp, all on 93 octane gas. we could tune for more, but this is a gas station friendly setup that is a great dailey driver.
this is why gary stays on top and rocks !BOOMER said:after a million dyno runs, one thing always pokes thru the rest with the biggest gains-our catless mid pipes, then our computer flash.

How does all of that effect emissions testing and what is left of my warrantee? I am leaning towards having some gears done... But would also like to do a CAT back if it isn't too much loader than stock (I want it a little louder and deeper tone) and maybe the flash if it doesn't effect the warrantee...BOOMER said:after a million dyno runs, one thing always pokes thru the rest with the biggest gains-our catless mid pipes, then our computer flash.
