I ate at Applebee's Sunday. :rock:Another thing my wife and I have done is paid for a serviceman's bill. We have been eating in a restaurant when a couple servicemen or a serviceman and his family come in. Once they have ordered we discretely ask for their bill and pay it (with tip) along with ours as we leave. Don't make a big deal about it. We don't want the recognition. Just letting them know we appreciate their service for our country. We have gotten reports back from waitresses we know about how good it makes them feel. They want to know who would do such a thing but we have sworn them to silence.OCBob said:Good deal John and Roy. If the public would show financial support for those companies that support our service members, I think we would see many more of them doing it. Because to be honest, I really don't give a shit what their motives are just so long as the end result is that it benefits those that choose to serve.
That's cool and a really cool idea. I once gave up my first class seat to a Marine that was returning home from Iraq. But of course with my luck his seat was a middle seat between 2 heifers lol. But I figured it was the least I could do, the smile on his face was more than enough payback.SilvrSRT10 said:I ate at Applebee's Sunday. :rock:Another thing my wife and I have done is paid for a serviceman's bill.
