The Spirit of our America!

I remember they did this last year and it was a 3 hour waiting list!:argh: But kudos to them for doing this..

I applaud Applebee's

Damn, they would accept a picture of me in uniform but not my USMC tattoo as proof hehe.

Yes, this is a very good thing. I just wish more folks would think about our present and past service members more than one day a year. OK maybe 2 days, probably 25% of the population knows what Memorial Day is about too.

Way to go Applebees.      :congrats: :congrats: :congrats: :congrats: :congrats: :congrats: :congrats: :congrats: :congrats: :congrats: :congrats: :congrats: :congrats: :congrats: :congrats: :congrats: :congrats: :congrats: :congrats: :congrats: :congrats: :congrats:

I used to build Applebee's restaurants for their corporate office in Kansas. They are a patriotic, top notch corporation. Good job!!!

Good deal John and Roy. If the public would show financial support for those companies that support our service members, I think we would see many more of them doing it. Because to be honest, I really don't give a shit what their motives are just so long as the end result is that it benefits those that choose to serve.

I ate at Applebee's Sunday. :rock:Another thing my wife and I have done is paid for a serviceman's bill. We have been eating in a restaurant when a couple servicemen or a serviceman and his family come in. Once they have ordered we discretely ask for their bill and pay it (with tip) along with ours as we leave. Don't make a big deal about it. We don't want the recognition. Just letting them know we appreciate their service for our country. We have gotten reports back from waitresses we know about how good it makes them feel. They want to know who would do such a thing but we have sworn them to silence.

That's cool and a really cool idea. I once gave up my first class seat to a Marine that was returning home from Iraq. But of course with my luck his seat was a middle seat between 2 heifers lol. But I figured it was the least I could do, the smile on his face was more than enough payback.

Guess I will go to dinner there tonight to show my support of their company.

Change of plan. Going to do it Friday when I have more time. Tomorrow is my start at 1:00 am day, and I have a late 2:30 pm meeting. Going to bed early tonight.

It will be PACKED next week! But good on them.

Great thing to do for our service men & women.... ..........Sad thing is I really like Applebees food but the music is so loud at the one here you cant carry on a conversation so we never go.....but I might go one time as a support thing..
