How can something so tiny stink so fkn bad....?

Somewhere in our laundry room a mouse has died and it bloody stinks like a sunovabitch..... The stench simply permeates the entire room....

So, last night while Lynette was at a meeting of her Republican Womens club (plotting the overthrow of the free World) I did a no-no..... I tore that entire room apart trying to locate the rotting rodential carcass of that little bastage..

If your wife is anything like mine, the confines of the laundry room are ever so neatly compartmentalized with "stuff" (around the washer and dryer). This includes the retired towels used for emergencies, 3 drawer bins, plastic vegetable bags, wicker baskets with Shout (et al) and all kinda' shit that guys aren't smart enough to know about.

I tore it all out... Every fkn shred of it.... Got out the MagLight and moved the washer dryer out away from everything else.... I didn't find SHIT.... I think the little stinker is probably inside the dryer hose and I din wanna take that apart.....

Boy, did I catch Hell when Lynette got home.... Apparently, I neglected to take several photos in the process of taking the room apart and didn't get everything back exactly the way it was.....

No good deed goes unpunished..... and the stink will remain ...:dontknow: :argh:

I know what you mean Tim:( I had one a few months back and couldn't find the little fckr. Stink like a sum bitch:( It will pass in a few days if you can't find it;)
 
The UNDERSIDE of the washer and dryer is open.... I would bet money the lil' bastard is under the dryer. :eek: It's warm under there, and lot's of things for him to sit/lay on (until the machine is turned on, that is:D ). It also gets HOT in there... so that is usually why it "elevates" the smell. I would open up the door on the dryer, stick your head in there, and take a big wiff... if you can smell it BAD, it's in the dryer. Do the same with the washer. :eek:

If that isn't it, he may have met his demise in the wall... usually around the vicinity of the dryer hose. :dontknow:

So....................... lemme get this straight.....

The general (ambient) smell in the the laundry room alone is of sufficient strength to make the hair curl on the back of the neck..... And you want me to deposit my olfactory in an even smaller and more enclosed area where the stench is potentially magnified by several times...and take a huge whiff..........?

Besides, If ya turn on the dryer, the stench blows the other way.....

I'm fairly well organized... even anal when it comes to orderliness.... But Lynette is Sir Arthur Fkn Conan Doyle about this kinda' shit.... I was cringing when I heard the garage door come up.....

I mean hell.......... It's not bad enough that both my Dodgers AND Lakers got beat last night, but I had to take an ass chewing, too...........

In all honesty, Lynette apologized and thanked me for trying to find the little stinker..... She was only miffed for about as long as it took her to reorganize the laundry room...... (15 mins, tops)....:eek:

After the lectureing Lynette gave him, maybe she ought to do the sleuthing. That way she can put everything back exactly where she wants it. Tim, you could smear some Vicks under you nose to mask the smell.

That's probably what irritated her most.... She'd already looked while I was out yesterday...... To no avail.....

Maybe I'll just smear some Vicks Vapo-rub right on the mouse's ass.......;)

I must humbly disagree.....

I have RatZappers that I keep loaded all over the garage... I got all the rats out'a here long ago. I check my RatZappers a coupla times a day. I replace all missing baits... I am on this shit....

Besides, I've seen one little mouse put out a major funk before.....

RatZappers rule......

I just went into the laundry room and the stench is gone......

I just found a kitten in my exhaust vent going from the laundry room ceiling out the roof. Little booger climbed down the vent from the roof and got caught. Lucky for him and my nose, I found him before he died in there. Could be a kitten or even a dead bird of there is access to a vent from the roof.
