Ok a buddy of mine has a 02 bmw m5 and i hear these beeps(at start up) and i know what it is and i ask wheres your v1. i looked and its built into the cars rearview now i walk around and notice that the sensor are in the bumper front/rear now its got me thinking i need to find a salvaged 02 m5 with this opt so i can take it out and intergrade to my truck, has any tryed this before.
i think it would look factory do to the mirror is right on with ours same shape and size and the way it hangs. I have found a car already with it in it and they will sell me the parts cheap

I actually don't like the display up that high. That means everyone behind and beside you can see what's going on. That may might not matter to some but out on the highway all of a sudden I become the leader of the pack. I look back and I'm leading a parade. So I installed a remote display in the parcel shelf. The main unit still hangs from the rearview where it gets the best reception but nothing lights up on it. Food for thought.

thats what i have now i was lookin to hide it all. this unit is in the dash in the bmw then sensors run to the front and rear of the car kinda like a k40 would then the display is in the rearveiw.
the sensors look like parking sensors but if i was to do it i hide them under the tailgate where my line of fire is and the other in the grill with custom made brackets. im goin to have some time off from work so im kinda looking for a project to keep me busy when im healing. plus i have tinted windows so you cant really see it

I do recall a remote system where the sensors are mounted in the grill and rear bumper and the unit is under dash with only a small light mounted in the dash.

....it's called an sr7 by passport, three front sensors and one rear... Then you can mount the tiny little display anywhere....

or you can get the Passport 9500ci, which is the gps enabled 9500 but in remote mount form...
