Getting ready to install a 170 stat. I read the DIY thread, but didn't see anything about bleeding. Do we need to bleed the system after install? If so, how? Thanks
There is a nipple on top of the housing that you do need to bleed. Its just like a brake bleeder, loosen it till you get liquid coming out, then tighten it back.
That was super easy. Took about 30 - 40 minutes. That fourth bolt was not hard at all. I guess cuz I have small hands (don't even go there ) and knew the bolt was there, it was not a problem at all. Anyway thanks for the help. Just waiting for it to stop raining, so I can go out and fill it back up and bleed it.
Is there a difference in 170 and 172 therostates, is one better than the other, i called a place one day and they said be careful where i get my thermostat from cause some can cause problems..
