Think About It...

not big into street racing......got rid of the truck to build a car for thr track,,, so you dont know shit about me..... just tired of everybody bitching about it. Me and my son made a pack to keep it on the track. Why keep posting things negetive about street racing? If its there thing let it be

I am not worried about you or care for your opinion, sharing information on street racing and what can happen is a reminder that other innocent people maybe hurt because of it.

Ask the three children when their mother was killed last year in Winnipeg when a young man's Mustang hit her car on the driver's side when he was racing another vehicle.

I do know a little shit about you. I even watched your illegal street race videos that your were so proud of. It is good to hear that you and your son are going to keep it on the track. So is your track car that camero you showed us in another video you posted?:dontknow:

that was the first vids I put out , after them they were only track vids.

nobody has seen my camero, its getting a roll cage put in it as we speak, and never have I street raced it or had it on any vid

Simple, as he said don't read...what is so difficult about that...

Sleeper has proposed a perfect solution for you, you are just too thick headed to read, perceive and comply.

The issue of street racing is a big one for all of us. Because of what most of us drive, stereotypical views of our activities will adversely impact each and every one of us eventually. You need to see beyond the "me" in this situation...it is not just about you, it is about how all of us need to deal with the issue. On the other hand you can just stop reading about it...as Sleeper suggested.
The same reason you can't not post in a kill thread about a race. Lead by example.

Interestingly enough a very good friend of mine sent me this exact same link... Although I'm not a big street racing guy and you'd be hard pressed to find me making a post of 'a kill'... I can tell you I'm as guilty as most of us on this board are... from time to time you feel the need to speed...

With that being said... street racing puts u partially responsible for the other driver as well... if you engage... he/she engages... if they hit someone... you were part of the incident...

I dunno about you all... I'd feel like real crap if something EVER happened to an innocent bystandard by my sheer negligence, stupidity and arrogance...

While I find myself not agreeing with Prof on most issues <mostly political in nature> I definitely agree with him on this one...
Be safe out there everyone :>

Good on ya', Roy............

When my dear young nephew was killed while "turnin' and burnin' " on his sport bike, I was very much saddened. I wondered if I had to bear any responsibility for his death. Did he overhear me talking shit with his dad about the stupid fkn stuff we did on fast bikes in our youth.....?

Ultimately, the fault for recklessness must be born by the reckless themselves. But, the loss of life and the horrible anguish suffered by the loved ones is so devastating that we who suffer feel compelled by all that is righteous to protect and warn others against it.......

It is quite sickening that some (like stick, 460 and others) continue to belittle and abuse us for wanting to protect them..... They seem to think that we just wanna "spoil their fun"......

How f**ked up is that..........?

Not my intention to change anyone's mind...I just want people to think before they act...if I offend someone with this post, that is not my intention.

I am as guilty as most when it comes to street racing...but I am trying to be more responsible and every time this topic surfaces, I think I move a little closer to total recovery...I hope it is beneficial to others.

The material I posted is not old...it was new information and relative to most of us. Learning more about the risks and the experiences of others helps me and I think others...winter also slows my racing urge considerably...at least here in northern Illinois:D :D :D

I think you are missing the point...

Your mind seems to gravitate towards absolutes. There are gradations that have to be determined, considered and evaluated...most of us like racing, many of us street race (not you any more) and it is great to read about track experiences. People will always want to post about their street kills...unless they are banned.

Street racing is immature, irrational, dangerous, illegal and inconsiderate. But many of us do it. Posting about those street races is immature, irrational, and very very dangerous. But some will still post about doing it.

This thread was started in an attempt to make people more aware of the issues that we face...

Start a survey about what to post and what not to post, and you may have to live with the results and the possible consequences.

I was mostly going to keep quiet until I read this....^

If memory serves, (And it doesn't have to, because all you have to do is go back to post #11) YOU were the first one to start any of the "reeming".

I am against street racing too, but that doesn't mean that every once in a while the stupd kid in me doesn't get loose. It happens, and probably to all of us at one time or another. The point that Roy, and others, is trying to make is that we need to be more careful, and try to keep that stupid kid inside of us quiet. At the very least we should be VERY choosy about who, and where we race, if it does happen.

I find it funny that you can be so uncivil to others, but when someone (politely) pokes back, you get pretty indignant about it, to me this usually means that you feel pretty guilty.

Just my $.02, and I probably won't comment on it again....
