Truth be told...I would estimate that 90% of the people on this site do not vote...notwithstanding what they would say if asked...

The congress serves at the will of their constituents...but the tool for anointing or setting aside is the ballot...which is not used.

Let's not blame congress...we need to look at ourselves. This is a representative republic, and the only way that congress is sustained is through the complicity of those who are eligible to vote.

We have trucks...load the bed with people who feel the way you do and take them to the polls...

If you don't like the national debt...return your economic incentive check...

If you don't like the price of gas...get a bicycle...

You are correct Roy, I do not vote. Why should I? Who should I vote for? All we get is liars and cheats. Our government officials have become nothing more than professional politicians who couldn't hold an honest job if they had to.

How can we change that? We cannot. Look at how many people wanted term limits so we could effect change. Who controls that? Congress and they won't vote themselves out of a job.

The House of Representatives should be like jury duty. You serve your term and the next person comes in. That would balance out the Senate with their long term Senators.
