just in case anybody wants to know how many gallons it takes to run out of fuel, then have to push, yeah, push a regular cab dodge ram srt 10 down a 4 lane divided highway to the next gas station...26.959...hmmm my build sheet says 26 gal. fuel tank...wonder what else they "skimped" on...or aren't fully divulging...what a morning! i thought i was in pretty good shape, but i went snowboarding last night...then had to heave that 5200 lb. hunk of mopar metal this morning..........arrrghhhhh...moral of the story...don't forget to get gas when you need it!

yeah...about those...idiot guages, right...idiot gets all twitchy cuz he hasn't been boarding in eight months...says i'll get gas in the morning, cuz i'm takin the jeep, sees neighbor on the way out of the neighborhood...conversates with said neighbor about the trip...idling away...then saying, as i leave...you might have to come give me a push...then he calls me (as he passes by) TO EFFIN LAUGH at me:congrats:

Yeah these trucks have no reserve on most 1500 you have a 6gal reserve not so on this one joe as soon as the light comes on you have exactly thirty miles. It builds character. :burnout: :marchmellow:

Your never really empty unless you drained it and thats what the sock is in there for if you had shit in the injctors you would of known by now. Running out of fuel is no big deal. Now if it was an old steel tank then you might worry a little.

fuel capacity is 26 gallons, that doesn't add in fuel lines, and error on the pump. I've know of many fuel stations that short change people fuel. atlthough since you ran it completely empty it was probably correct.

My 26 gal tank on my 99 Ram will hold 29.4 gallons (ask me how I know)
Then as time went on and it happened again,I was still showing 1/8th tank.It had water condensation built up over the years.About six cans of DryGas (over six fill-ups) and all was good again.
