I replace my belt yesterday and can tell you that the belt is a tough little bugger...

It seems that the tensioner pulley was installed incorrectly and it was slapping a bolt, tearing the belt in the process.

It also worn down the inboard side of the tensioner pulley.

I am really surprise that the belt didn't tear up already...

Here is a pic....

Yeah its a little snug in there!!!!!!:D

Dude you have truely been blessed:rock:

After the fuel lines not catching fire....

the harmonic balancer not flying off....

the tensioner not exploding or eating into something important....

or the NOS not going haywire from the wiring and the wrong nozzle....

or loosing fuel pressure.....

she is still alive............although a little less in the wallet

Just think........you coulda had a built motor, bullet proof, with a paxton;) and none of the above problems to fix over a years time..........

Bud...The reason the belt and tensioner are damage is because the tensioner wasn't install properly. It could be that they were trying to minimize belt slippage . The tensioner really didn't have that much play in the manner that it was installed.

Anyway, it is fix now...:)
