i tried to search didn't really find an answer, if CubanEvo still has his x-metal when i get my income tax i may buy his

anywhere from 3 -300 depends who u ask i dont think that is a big gain but that the throttle response is improved from what i have read

On the dyno. i did not see a gain,But i did get much better throttle response.I can feel the response on the bottom end,And it pulls hard through the gears.Do i think it was worth the $$? Yes.

the problem with the TB's is the air enters the intake and slames up against the inside of the intake and swirls to nowhere, thats why a ported TB will actually make more hp, the air is split to each side of the intake.

jack myself and a few others are workin on splitter, if we can incorporate a splitter behind the single blade Tb, you will gain back the 12 hp and probably gain more,, that way the air would split to each side of the intake instead of swirlin into a big nowhere:D

yes he is   but talking about a stock inlet manifold .... with our ROE we have one great chamber after the TB.... :elefant: :elefant: :D :D

On GM LT1 motors there was a piece made that fit in the throttlebody to smooth air that would otherwise get caught in the area between the two openings.

I said it over a year ago...much of the magic with the Roe TMTS is in the manifold and some of the trick things that have been done to direct airfuel mixture directly towards TDC in each cylinder.

Those of you that have seen the intake manifold or have pictures of it...need to look closely...there are details that are often missed...

I have a TB spacer for mounting nozzles. Machined the spacer to match the single TB bore with a simple sheet metal splitter. If I redo it I would machine the throttle body spacer so the center partition would be a thin splitter.

Oh .Great, Now I don't know what to do ..... Buy a T.B.? Don't buy a T.B.?

I'm so Confused ........ Wait till a splitter comes out??????

Decisions, Decisions ......

Wouldn't a screen behind the TB be a quick fix?

Screend are often used to smooth out airflow, specifically before MAF sensors to help with turbulent air.

Still the sir would be slamming into the divider, but I would think it could fill the gap for the time being...

Just an idea...

on a side note... if anyone ever actually tries... please secure the screen properly. I really don't want to read a post titled... "Death to my engine, Death to En4cer30"

:)

LOLOLOL like the last part:D

I have a ton on my plate as it is, acutally a lil urgent pm this evening of a member in need of a rear suspension:D

But I think Jack or Justin was looking at doing it, I know when I take my intake off to install the heads I am definitly going to look into it

the screen may just work;) very interesting

Go ahead and buy a TB guys if for nothing else looks:rock: , you will get a better throttle response, thats for sure, but the hp really doesnt change, supposedly with forced induction it helps because of the increase in forced air.
but I personally havent had mine on a dyno.

but if someone could step up and offer to port the factory tb, then maybe powder coat it , the ported to me, makes a difference.

but now you are talking spending $400 for a TB and not getting too much hp.

If I was to ever do it agian, I have learned a very valuable lesson in the past..................buy the TB from Sean Roe:rock:

The man is jsut insane, anytime you have a question or problem he is jsut top notch

Oh Great, Again..... Now --- Roe. X-metal, Hennesy, Whatcha-mu-callit.

More Decisions . Now I'm more Confused ......... ArrestmeRed04, Your not alone. ............ HELP!
