Must be a Reno thing. We kept getting followed. It was like one casino put out some kind of notice to look out for us or something. :dontknow:

You can get rooms at the "nicer" casinos for like 60-70 during the week. It's only expensive on Fri and Sat nights;) Circus Circus is a shithole

LOL true. I stayed there ONE time because it was cheap, and that'll be the last time. Dude it's like a mile away from where the rest of the casinos start... that's far when you're hammered. Plus it's dirty, and packed with little kids runnin around. You can stay there if you'd like, I'll be about a mile and a half down at the MGM or Excalibur:D

Oh no.... I'll b at Mandalay bay... Get free rooms there :):):). Plus they have great pools (not to mention the hotties at the pools)

A GTG in my hometown? HELL YA! I will drag Antnee there kickin and screamin! The Cannery Hotel is near the Complex and if you go later in the summer (Septemberish) it will still be in the 80's at midnight and twice a month the 1/4 mile is open to the public. The Cannery also hosts the MOPAR car shows 2x a year. Its waaaay off strip (North Las Vegas) but close to the track.

I have stayed at the Cannery twice and it is great.

The rooms are 39.00 a night off weekends and 79.00 on big weekends like the NHRA race and Mopars at the strip.

The place is clean and has great restaurants and clean rooms, just like the strip only 1/4 the price.

And all you can eat crab legs on Thursday nights....

Great bar across the street too. Mulligans.

My family had a ranch about 2 miles from there for 40 years. Its a decent area and a quick shot right up to the strip.

It is the closest place to the track, that's for sure.

They have enough parking for trailers and rigs. We just flipped the valet 10.00 when we pulled in and he let us park our rig and watched over it for us.

They have a 24 hr restaurnt just off the casino part that makes a great patty melt when you get back from the track at 2:30 AM.

Anyone seen that show Mustangs Across America where they drove to an event in convoy using Rt. 66 (what parts are left)? That would be very cool for anyone willing to drive their 10 to Vegas, have rally points each day so you can join the convoy at a convenient spot along the way ... unless you're on the west coast, then you'll need your own convoy going east! Probably needs more planning, but could be done for a say 7th anniversary of the RAM SRT-10 line next year?

it comes with having a gamblaholic family :D :D :D :D :D haha.. its casino rate ($110/night) - points & comps.. usually comes out to 30/night or less

gamble alot and u could get the same... haha

i know ill be in vegas regardless of having a GTG the 1st week of november because ill be going to SEMA and its my 21st birthday... so you bet your ass ill be there

as far as the drive out ther.. if we do have a GTG, we should definitely have a convoy all SD ppl can drive up to L.A. and meet with the L.A. guys, well meet up with people up north (love this truck...) and we'll get a big group of trucks driving to vegas... gonna be fun in my opinion.

Weell, If we are all gonna drive, sure would be nice to do it a little earlier...snow flies in Nov in Montana and Wyoming etc, etc and the drive back over the passes just wouldn't be worth the risk.

Not trying to piss on the parade...would love to meet as many as I can and would love to drive my truck.....half the fun. But maybe we could think about September:dontknow: :dontknow: :dontknow:

I would be in either way I'm pretty sure but would much rather drive and join a convoy.....sheee it......stoppin here and there, anyway I digress.

I'm sure no one give a rat's ass if I come, agree, or just stay home and whine about how I missed it:D :D :D

A convoy of 10's into Vegas...totally F'n Kewl:rock:   :elefant: :elefant: :elefant:

I think this is a great idea, but maybe set this up for next year. Maybe we should look at changeing the location every year and really stickin g to the location and hammering the members to attend. My year is booked with PCB and then Aruba the following month, so any other GTG's will be in the state/local for me. Talking about it now is good to get as much input and intrest as possible. SO, Vegas next year would be cool.....need to put up a poll on it and some other locations.

Tony tried to work up a "Central" GTG a while back and seems to me that would be easiest on everyone but it kinda petered out from too many diverse needs and long drives, etc, etc and it's all back to Panama City as far as I can tell

Would be great to have a yearly central one though.

I think we should plan a Vegas National for next year, say June. That gives everyone the time to plan for the trip, time to get it organized, etc.

I think it would be cool to roll into Vegas with a bunch of 10's. We just did a run to Laughlin this past weekend with the PT. When we left our house, it was just us. Got to Victorville and another 5 joined us. By the time we hit Laughlin there was 23 PT's running together.

I say Vegas next year then, and we stick to it. Gives everyone time to plan, find places to race/meet and have a good time
