What's the deal here? Who is Scott Moak? And what was he charged with? Someone please inform the uninformed???

SD, I thought he said his Depo was on the 15th. But yesterday he indicated it would be a little longer than that.:dontknow:

I'm sure he will chime in at some point.

I know we have had a lot of new members join since my ordeal started so I will just give a real quick rundown. I was accused of a crime back in July. The detective only talked with one (1) witness, who didn't see anything. She didn't talk with the other witnesses because she said "I didn't think they had anything to add". That should just give you an idea of how this case has gone from the beginning. I started with 3 charges and 1 got dropped. So I won't discuss what the charges are until after it’s over. Well a lot of you know what the charges are. But this has had a detrimental effect on my family, not only financially but emotionally as well. The worst part is I was separated from my wife and kids for 4 months because they were still up in Virginia. I was not allowed out of the county here. So I missed my Sons surgery, my daughter’s birthday and my 10 year wedding anniversary. We had a contract on our dream home here in Florida and had to back out of the contract. Well you get the idea of a little bit of what we are going through.

So what’s next? Jury Selection is Dec 11th. This will be a 6 person Jury. Then the trial starts Dec 18th and will be 1-2 days. If it goes bad then I get thrown in Jail for 4-6 weeks while I await sentencing. I’m only hoping that Navy will keep me in a leave status for that time so my wife and kids won’t get kicked out of base housing right away. My wife has not worked for over 7 years. She has always been a stay at home mom. She will be stressed enough without having to worry about where to live for the first couple of weeks. Already one of the first things she has to do is get rid of my money sucking truck. So if someone wants to buy it, it might be for sale in 2 weeks. If it goes good then, well I don’t know. I can’t even think of how I would feel. But I will be planning on going to Savannah for Christmas just so I can get out of town for a little bit with the family.

The one good thing that came out of all this was the support the VTCOA family has and is still giving me. The friendship and phone calls came at a time when I needed it the most. Thank you guys so much for all that you have and continue to do.

Please don't anyone misinterpret my post. I do not need money from anyone. Just your thoughts and support. I just want to be clear that my post was not a cry for monetary help. When all this started I was waiting for my house to sell. Now that it has sold my family and I are in a much better finical situation. So please understand that I'm only asking for your friendship.

Tony this was not aimed at you, I just used your post to maybe echo the way others feel. I think a lot of people are burned out on the giving and I wanted to be clear.

Mine would have been but he asked me to change it :(

I wanted you to be able to have the freedom to change it to support who you wanted to. At the time Phil needed support and I wanted you to be able to support him. Use what ever avatar you want. Just try not to pick a ghey one.
