where does the friend have it?
i'm not exactly sure,i think hes stuck only going to one place,if u can find one with multiple destinations it might be a good deal

ya the milti destination is the one i was interested in
its alot cheaper than hotels aslong as u travel and use it during off peak, most likely the dates u want are booked if holidays

My siblings and I inherited one from my parents. Its located on the Outer Banks NC. We have had it for sale for 9 months......not one bite.

Yearly maitenence fees can get pricey. My parents one is $400 a year. For a week in April on the Outer Banks, I could rent any condo for that.....

Dont waste your cash dude.............go online and rent somebodies else for a week and save yourself a lot of money.

Remember this, 40 to 50% of the cost of a timeshare is the marketing of it. So if you must buy one, buy it from a re-saler for half the cost.

My parents have 2 in Cabo . They get 2 additional weeks at any other resort the co. has. They've gone to Fl.and Ha. Then can book anytime of year. We are meeting them in Cabo next month during spring break. Hopefully I will see some coed boobies.

Had one in Hawaii, gave it back. I wouldn't do it. They make it sound great but in the end it's a waste for me

"We've" got one in the Berkshires. Go snowboarding each winter. I say we, but really she kept it in her divorce.

I wouldn't put the cash out for it as resale sucks and annual increases aren't capped (at least on hers). But since the big chunk of cash is already paid it's not so bad since we get a huge ski out condo for the annual fee one week a year and also get an extra week anywhere else (stayed near Disney last year for a week for only $250).

Think of it this way, whatever the lump sum payment is to purchase the timeshare you can get a better return investing that money. Timeshare is not an investment.

thanks for the info guys... not looking to invest just looking to save money on holidays... end up spending way to much on hotels etc...
