My truck is in the shop right now getting tinted. 5% all the way around with the rear glass factory tint it should be around 2%. I was concerned about the windshield visor as the tech told me the sides would come down lower giving me a half moon shape lower on the sides shorter in the middle. I dont like that at all.

They were doing my truck and my wifes 4 door sebring with suntech high performance both for $280 $100 dollars off. So i cant complain there.

Although i called our local Restylers, and they told me they have compu-cut film with perfect fit and edges, and could do me a contoured visor for the same price. Their film is Solar Guard

Now im kicking myself in the ass!
Small town shop against big company.
Hand cut vs computer cut
half moon visor vs contoured
local warranty vs nationwide
suntek vs solar guard

Is suntek a superior product enough to offset what im losing everywhere else?

I would have suggested Dan's Tinting. He's done all 6 of my vehicles with no mooning, peeling, bubbling, with a lifetime warranty. He does all of the condos out in Destin to so he's really reliable. He did my truck a few months ago.

I just got mine tinted. 5% all around. Damn it is so dark. Hope I don't need to go anywhere at night. I used Solar Guard from a mobile tint guy who came to the office. $95 dollars total and took him less than an hour. Looks sweet. It's all about the tint person in my opinion. The best tint in the hands of a novice will come out like crap.

Totally agree. Film tint is can be hard to get 100% perfect. If you want a perfect tint go with smoked glass. Seen a guy that does good work and had to redo a window four times to get it right. But the guy made sure it was good before giving it to the customer.

Jeff.....I'm tellin you bro....look up Dan't Tint Shop in the phone book. You wont be dissappointed. He does outstanding work. His shop is located just past Jimmy's gun shop and Jimmy's Audio.

Solarguard is a much better tint than Suntek. Solarguard is a little more expensive but the quality is excellent. You need to have an experienced installer though.

yes I used the solarguard, you go to the 2004 member pix, mine this the last one, Big Worm, check them out. I got a straight eyebrow tent on the windshield so I am not sure what they are talking about,

Well i went back this morning... Showed him what i thought was wrong with it and he could not agree more. His work was crap. I gave him the options

You can redo it for the third time, but im going to go over it with a fine tooth comb. If ANYTHING isnt up to par im getting my money back. So risk wasting your product if you want.

Or- give me my money back now.

Well he is going at it for the third attempt. We will see what it looks like today at 4.
