Tito vs. Shamrock

Anyone else watching this fight........
Well it was BULLSHIT again.......ref stopped it again......I'm a big Tito fan, but the fight should of went longer.
But Tito did beat his ass again in 1:18.
Sylvia and the "pitbull" next......just bored and wanted to see if anyone else was watching......bikertat

I think the ref did the right thing...Shem wasn't protecting himself at all. Taking elbow blows on the temple lobe could kill you...

I was watching...just one or two unprotected elbows in the right place will put you out...permanently. That's why he stopped the fight. Shamrock was already too dazed and just trying to block whatever blur he could see of Ortiz. In one of the replays you could see his eyes goin' a little crazy.
The fight I couldn't believe they didn't stop before was one of the first matches when Yves Edwards had been cut open with an elbow and was bleeding puddles all over the floor. That was one of the bloodiest matches I've ever seen allowed.

I used to fight and herniated a disc. Just finished a year and a half of therapy and lost 25, almost 30 freakin pounds. Watching this makes me wanna start training again.

They do take it too far. Shamrock is way past his peak and Tito thinks he's the freakin Messiah.
I just wish Randy Couture would walk out of nowhere and say "ORTIZ IS MY BITCH!" That would make my day

I dont know about you guys, but the best fights are imo when the fighters actually hate each other. this is what ufc should be all about. Even though I was pretty mad that the fight was stopped, the ref was just doin his job. If he hadnt, there is no doubt tito would dropped have dropped more elbows till he caved shamrocks face in. I wish they would have just gave the round to tito and let them continue just to see shamrock get his ass beat even more.
What do you guys think about iceman and tito goin at it again?

When you take a hard blow to the head in the ring, you almost instantaneously develop some sort of hatred for the other person. Whether it be temporary or not, you wanna knock the other person's head off.
I think Iceman vs. ortiz would be awesome. Ortiz focuses too much on the "ground n pound." If Iceman gets a good solid punch to Ortiz, I dunnoooo??? That's a damn punch from the Iceman! LIGHTS OUT!!

Than why did sylvia and pitbull keep touchin gloves at the end of the fight, respect? that reflects why it was such a shitty fight. Yeah iceman punches are lights out for sure. I would love to see how tito and iceman would do against Royce gracie. that would be a fight to see

I'm a big Ortiz and Iceman fan, but I think the Iceman would probably take Ortiz. As for Sylvia and the "pitbull"; terrible, terrible fight. We should all get a little money back for that one. I'm getting pissed just thinking about it.!!!

Yeah, that was odd. Yves Edwards was gushing blood all over that corner of the ring and they didn't stop it. At first I was mad about stopping the Shamrock/Ortiz fight, but that's true, a couple more elbows to Shamrocks head could have really messed him up. UFC really used them to pump up the sales though. Then the main event was mainly boring :boxing:. At least we got three pretty good fights out of it all. Thank goodness I didn't pay for it. I was hanging with slow91 at he "SPOT" we usually hang at with women, steaks and UFC. I can imagine how the audience felt. What a gyp.

If UFC is ever going to be the force that Pride is...they have to stop pulling these 2nd stringers out of the 90's....tito = done.....shamrock = done....Royce = done....

Your saying Pride is much bigger than the UFC :dontknow: Dude wake up Pride is only big in Japan We will see in November I predict Silva wil get beat badly by the Ice Man...Not worried about Babaloo next month Chuck will destroy him So Wanderlei will get a shot at Chuck title What a blood bath that will be......:rock:

Liddell and Tito have fought and Chuck knocked him senseless Tito as Mike said is all washed up IMHO...Big ego and a real idiot I will agree with Pride having the best Heavyweight talent....Mirko Crocrop and the very best fighter in the world Fedor Emelianenko... But as far as lower weights go the class of the world is in the UFC for the most part...with a few exceptions

I was happy for my buddy Tim Sylvia he did what he had to do...Boring YES but it was effective.....The Tito/ Shamrock fight was stopped to soon IMHO..All super fights need to be let go until there is no doubt of a winner...Regaurdless, You know the risk you take getting in there and the fans paid for a super fight, so let there be one...That's what screwed up Boxing quick stupid stopages and a decission made for you...Shamrock was getting jacked and that is all good...Let it be settled the old fashioned way...Out on the shoulders of your corner or on a stretcher:rock:

That was very weird. I was sitting there screaming looking at all the blood gush out of his head and no stop?? How weird. Then when the doctors stopped the match, did you see Edwards screaming "I CAN STILL FIGHT I CAN STILL FIGHT!!" wtf is wrong with this guy? LOL! I bet he's feeling like SHIT today.

Pride had 60,000 people in the Tokyo Dome last weekend and the fighters make triple what they do in UFC....
