I am going to Costa july 1st through the 12th. The last time you went , What airline did you use and what did they charge you for your boards? I used to fly Martin Air but they no longer fly into Costa. Also this time I will be flying into Libera. I want to take my 9'1 6'6 single fin 6'6 thruster 7'9 fun shape but they fit all in one bag

It was allmost 250$ round trip on Southwest from houston to san deigo, 6' 11'. I went into mexico and surfed Cuatro Casas...

Send a pm to MarcT...he goes on a regular basis...the last time I went was four years ago. Surfed Haco (Jaco), stayed at Los Suenos...incredible.

hey stick,$100.00 for one surf board bag oneway (continental). i fly continental into liberia. US airway also flys there and delta i believe.
if you get down to playa avellanas, thats where my place is (across from cabinas las olas) this time of year should have offshores just in the morning (to about 10- 11 ish) nov. through feb. offshores are 24-7 and can be quite strong at times! (50mph) LOL my son was down there last week and said rained just one night (getting into the rainy season now) good news is crowds have thinned because of economics. let me know if you need any other info.

We are staying at cabinas las olas the whole time. I dont feel like messing with a rent a car this time. I have been to costa a bunch. Most of the time I have spent down south. The last time I was there we got on the boat "Don Bosco" and sailed down the coast and stoped at many different breaks than sailed our way back up. But this will be my first time flying into Libera.

i'll be damned.....my partners (co-owners of the property) are leaving tommorrow, you'll run into them, they party at cabinas las olas. :vollkommenauf: denny or capi as they call him down there is the loud one!:argh: LOL he is an ex boat captain by the way and my other partner (mike) works for chouest.(captain):captain: they'll probably be with kenny our builder/ caretaker extrodonaire:D hope you catch some waves!

well even though some airlines were cheaper out of new orleans, I went with NWA. out of Pensacola. My wife is not a good night driver,, she cant see at night that good. So the drive to new orleans was out of the question without her getting a motel before and after the trip. I will be getting into Libera at noon so maybe I will get the afternoon glass off. We decided not to rent a car . We also decided not to take any longboards. I am taking a 7 ft 6'8 and a 6'6 . If the surf is to small for them then we will just get a ride to tamerindo and rent a couple. I go back to the boat Sunday and fly out as soon as I get off the boat.

here is me last time I was down south
