Tomahawk bike finally gets green light from Chrysler

Who could forget the Tomahawk concept bike that debuted at the 2003 North American International Auto Show? I was present at the show and standing right next to monstrous motorcycle as then DaimlerChrysler COO Wolfgang Bernhard swung his leg over the 8.0-liter V10 engine and turned it on. The aural assault from a completely exposed Viper engine is something you don't easily forget. Word is coming out of Edmunds' Straightline blog now that the Tomahawk, which is essentialy the Viper V10 with four skinny wheels and a handlebar, is going into limited production as a Chrysler model. The 500-horsepower Chrysler Tomahawk will likely cost at least $250,000, though that number's not official and we don't know how many will be built.

Large high resolution gallery and video of the Tomahawk being ridden can be found after the jump.

Just blew a weeks worth of load all over the place. Now, can I ho myself out for $250,000?:D :burnout: :burnout:

Agree though, the rams head is off and the Viper is on.

Well, if you are lucky enough to be able to buy one, I wouldn't think it would need many mods at all!!

Can you imagine trying to handle that thing with 500 horses!!!

Seems like it would be less expensive to buy a viper motor and let one of the chopper fabrication guru's have a go at it.. Plus you would have a "one of a kind"..:dontknow:

Tomahawk

Boss Hoss motorcycles of Atlanta has built a viper Boss Hoss, seen someone riding it in Daytona during bike week, looked GREAT!

MIGHT be less expensive, but even if it was, it wouldn't be a Tomahawk!

I think I will order two of them...figure I will crash the first one, then wish I hadnt of tried to hit 300mph and destroyed the bike. Of course will go down to the garage and wala! Got a spare ;)

Don't bother getting the 2nd one.
If you crash on that thing going faster than 150mph, they'll be picking you up with a Shop-Vac. :D

Bet those folks that paid 1/2 million for them at Neiman Marcus a couple of years ago are pissed! LOL. I know how they feel though, I paid sticker for my truck.

Those things are just about unrideable. Scott Parker, the 9 time AMA flat track champion had a hard time turning it. I don't think you will ever see one on the street.

Bill.

im speechless.... thats just insanity of all things i doubted that bike would go into production wow

Down here you don't need a shop vac.....we have Seagulls...
Now THAT is a something to see let me tell ya.

The one thing I noticed is that whoever buys one wont be able to ride for very long.....theres not a gas tank big enough with the kind of mileage its gonna get.....

The way the seating position is, I doubt you could sit on it for long...
