I am assuming this would fit my 05. Mutt, I am bidding on it, and may take you up on your offer.

Ron

No problem, will only charge you the actual shipping cost...a lot of people slam it to you on the shipping...

Is someone on here bidding as well?????? If so, I'm not going to run the price up for ya.

You will need several pieces of hardware to complete the installation. Whoever bids on this and wins let me know.

I still like the fact that my truck didnt come with one and the window sticker lists a credit for $1000 tonneau cover delete. Had I known any better I would of told the dealer you know Ill pay that $1000 now if you go ahead and get me the cover. The wife doesnt like the wing and I have told her that if it is to come off she will have to buy a cover. Good luck on this one and Outnumbered if you win will you be selling your current cover?

Thanks,

Chris

Yes, I will be selling. I would sell it as a complete unit (lid and wing already mounted). But since I do already have one, I'm not going to go crazy on the bidding. As I said, I like mine--probably better than the stock because of how flat it is, but I would really like to have the OEM. Thanks for posting the link.

Sorry to turn this into a q and a I didnt want to start another thread. I assume the stock uses the holes that are drilled into the bed rails. Do any aftermarket lids use these?

Mine uses some of the existing holes, but is basically a clamp on railing system...no drilling. So yes, I would assume the stock system uses existing holes.

holes need to be drilled on the factory lid, and some support brackets need to be added too. 1 one each side of the bed rail by the tailgate and 2 rivited in on the front side of the bed between the cab and the front of the bed. One also needs another set of tailgate strikers so the locking mechanism has something to attach too.

That's a lot more work than I realized. Do you know how much the stock cover weighs? Mine is supposed to weigh around 60lbs. but feels heavier.

no, but it is aluminum and has lots of bracing within the lid, the bottom looks like the underside of a hood.

Do the 06's have a longer bed? I heard they were built on a different frame. But I'm not sure. Would hate to buy it to find it it is to long.

I thought about that shortly after I bid, and posed the question to the seller. I'm still not sure, but will find out before I increase my bid (if I haven't already lost interest).
