Just a comparison vid from back in the day.
My WS-6 was at 430 rwhp cam only plus bolt ons.
Wades RC wAs around 550rwhp on a built engine then he ran me on 100 shot to win :chain:

I miss Wade's truck. Too bad he couldn't ever get everything lined up to make a good pass. Should have been a VERY quick truck.
 
Damn 430 with a cam only LS1? What cam did it have. Most ls1 require heads to get 430+.

Yeah we got two ls cars here with heads/cam etc that make about 430rwhp. They would both walk me.

but please dont get caught up with mode or dyno numbers and they dont mean anything when it's time to race.

I had A six speed in WS-6 also so they pull more whp. It had a custom grind I made with a reverse split duration :)
4.10 gears, shaved heads 241 stock heads, stock valves and stock LS6 intake. It was beast :)

True as I dont get caught up as im a believer in ET. Just being around the LS scene damn near ever fbody putting those number are h\C so found it odd a cam only putting down the same as I never heard of one doing. Which is why I ask what cam it was

Just comparing trans Ams of basically same power against my Quad Cab and Tooloes Built RC. Thought it was a neat look at it:burnout:
 
If I remember right Tooloe ran in the mid to low 12's even on spray, with heads and cam. I have a 2000 Firehawk (soon to be running again, LME in Houston is finishing my 433 cubic inch LS1) and a few years back I ran 11.80 @ 120.22. I still had the 7.5" rear gear , so I left the line at 1,800 RPM with ET Streets, didn't want to break anything, I feel the potential was there for mid 11's. The new car will have a proper rear suspension and rear end, should be way faster than the Cadillac or the SRT-10. That mild engine that ran 120 mph was an LS1, ported heads, Fast intake, headers and a mild 224-224-114 cam with .560 lift, 4.10's for gears...a very fast car for what it was( dyno was 446 rwhp, passed Calif. smog and got 20+ mpg). The new engine may approach 700 rwhp (NA), the car is lightened, and has manual steering, tubular K-member and a-arms, no back seat....but will have air and a stereo as it's still a street legal cruiser.....specially built for Friday night cruises. (And Test and Tunes!)

Why was his truck so slow for the mods? Was it ever figured out? I figured H/C would be in the mid 11s all day around 115+ mph

Not sure bro. Witnessed it put down over 700 on the dyno same day mine out down 423, lol. Again, another reason track times are better than dyno numbers ;)
