I have a QC and was wondering which mod would give me the most RWHP and low end Torque. I have heard a good Torque converter makes a big difference. If I get a TC I will add the 727DD deep tranny pan also. I already have a updraded Valve Body.

Any advise and wisdom greatly appreciated!

Then get the headers. A high stall converter makes alot of heat, and trannys don't like heat. Drivability on the streat sucks if you get to high a stall.

Can't you get a lower stall that is closer to stock?
1900 RPM?

With your present mods, bissani's are gonna make you the most power for the $

actually I would get the bellangers Roe has, they will make more power for the $ for ya.

Your really not making enuff power yet for a convertor to really benifit you that much. Save it for later;)

Less weight and more power to the ground. More efficient shifts and overall operation. Tranny temps will also be lower. I read some place it is like adding 30 HP????

All that sounds good except for the 30hp?:confused: it may, but , I dont know I hadnt heard of one makin that kind of power:dontknow: maybe bhp but to the ground?:dontknow:

No, the higher the stall the less you feel the shift. Your tranny will get hotter with a higher stall. High stalls don't work good on heavy vehicles.

As sleeper said;
Trans temps are generally higher with a higher stall converter.

The reason to use a higher stall converter is to get the engine into the power band. A converter does not make any more HP in itself, it is just a way of transmitting available power.

The Bassani's will give you a bunch of torque which is necessary to get a heavy vehicle "launched".

Go with the Bassani's.......................:rock:

I am still learning. Thanks for all the points. You just saved me from making a mistake in my progress.

How does everyone like the 727DD Mag Hytec tranny pan. Does that help temps enough to buy?

Keep the advice coming! :rock:

Actually, I've found that I've lost power (at least on the dyno) every time I added a high stall TC. (3 different cars/trucks)
