I went to sears to buy a torque wrench... and much to my suprise... they've got $50 torque wrenches and $250 dollar digital torque wrenches...

I mostly need the torque wrenches for my wheels... and some atv work.... is there any real necessity to spending 200+ on one of these???

Obviously, I'm looking at craftsman... which I've always had great luck with....

thanks

-the bandit <well minus the transam... the cowboy hat... and the belt buckle...>:D

i dont really trust the digital ones. just for show imho.

aight so digital ones are out.... the regular ones... do i get one with the meter going back and fourth or the one with the twist handle....

and craftsman?? should I look at somethin else??

thanks guys :)

p.s. wheels should be locked down @ 100-110?? what aboot drag slicks?? the same???

Get a craftsman digi-tork, its a mechanical TW with a clear eye that shows your torque, get a 1/2 and a 3/8 and you ought to be good for any ATV or truck issue you encounter.

Definitely compare it to another torque wrench. See how close they torque too. I have seen them 20 pounds off just putting on lug nutz.
