So me and one of my best friends rode out to Kerrville, TX (in the Hill Country)... got out there...went to go grab a bite to eat and getting excited to go ride highway 16 and then the twisted sister loop (some of the roads in texas to ride) on our way back from eating and went into a blind curve to low and came out to high and hit gravel.....hit a gaurd rail at about 20-25mph. richoetted off the bike into the road....walked away almost unscathed...just bit of road rash on my knee and very light rashed on my elbows....i was wearing my helmet but no jacket...got really lucky....that gaurdrail stopped me from going over a 100ft cliff!!!!

Glad you are ok.

You really were lucky!!

Sorry about the bike.

thanks guys....put of pic of my only real injury.....cant believe it really...ive cheated death yet once again! this bike will not be replaced BTW!

Stupid!

Sorry, someone had to say it...

Glad you are fine...but you could have killed someone else.

Get your head screwed on straight, wear the right clothes, do your thing in the right places where you risk only yourself...

I guess the Dad is coming out in me. I'll butt out.

Thank goodness you are OK....I used to have a motorcycle in my younger days...and still have a motorcycle code on my drivers license....there were 2 young guys on cycles passed me today on a 2 lane road (and double yellow line)...as I watched them doing 70+ on a 30MPH road I thought of how exposed they were....just have no interest in a bike anymore..:marchmellow:

Yep.. glad you are OK.. that's why I sold my CBR. Too much temptation to do things that I shouldn't even think about on the street. Then again.. my 10 isn't doing me any favors!!

:burnout: :burnout: :burnout: :burnout:

Nuff said.

I know its too late now, but when riding any motorcycle especially a sport always take the corner way slower than you think you can, until you have gone through that corner several times on that same day.

Going a little slower is always safer.

Bill.

Glad your ok, thank God the guardrail was there!.... or gravity would have got ya.
God's speed on a quick recovery...bet your sore as hell today.

man that sucks! glad your ok ! I'v been lucky 5 years riding and nothing but gas money spent on my bike yet!

Bike can be replaced.Glad you are ok. Lucky that guardrail was there!!
Could have been nasty!!!

Damn James!

Glad to see that you made out good................... that sure WAS a pretty bike.............

You've still got the road warrior, right?

Mis-judgment or bad judgment...I put my Harley down three times, and it was not one twentieth of the bike he was riding...in ever instance...in retrospect it was my fault...just hate to lose one of you young stallions...your youth keeps me alive!

Roy he went in to the rail at 20mph... there are golf carts faster than that.. now if thats reckless driving .. doing a whopping 20 25mph into a guardrail .. you had better stay off the freeways because it is known that they actually travel above the speed of 20-25MPH .. this could be reckless and deadly for you .... be aware.....
