Ok...I might be moving back east in the next few weeks. I have to move all my crap. I think I can fit everyhting in a UHAUL 6x12 trailer. I am very leary about towing with my SRT-10. I have a quad cab 06 with low miles.

I need any advice on towing with this truck. She is my daily driver. The drive will be approx 1200 miles. I want to make sure the truck can handle this trip with a trailer behind it. I plan on putting the SCT program back to stock and using the old tow haul mode. For damn sure gonna baby it the whole way!

Comments/Advice/Etc...WELCOME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Load your trailer and haul ass...no problem. Will you have trailer brakes??You should!!

yeap.. although dont forget about it being back there (like i did on my 1800mile drive from tx to NY) lol had one of the small uhauls loaded looked like a baked potato in foil.. dont know exact size.. but by about 3 in the am was running with some lotus's going through kentucky before i relized i was doing 115 hanging with them with this u-haul behind me with the big old signs that say "not to exceed 45mph" yeap.. kept waiting for the wheels to fall off that thing lol.

Thanks guys! I hope I get this career transfer back home! I look forward to being back in the MD/VA area.

they have surge brakes.

and a note on speed, i would not set my cruise at 90, you'll overheat the bearings if its too heavy, a wheel will lock up and kabam. 70 is very safe.

I've pulled drag-car (open trailer ) & 6x12 u-haul with only a piano be sure to use tow haul mode although with the piano it didn't seam necessary
