Hey guys. I got me a 06 QC. In Nov. we have some regional drag in Costa Rica. It's about an 8+ hour drive from Panama. I'm thinking of taking my 5th gen. Should the Ram be fine to tow it all the way? I know the capacity is 7k. The 5th gen weighs around 4k, but when all is said and done, I think for racing it will be down to about 37xx lbs. I'd have tools, extra wheels, and probably 1-2 passengers.

Thanks guys for opinion.

I'd do it and have done it, but your 48RE POS tranny might argue when all is said and done. :chain: Add the weight of the trailer to your Badass Camaro equation as well and you'll be up to about 6000:dontknow:

I recently hauled my Full Size Jeep J10 on a U-Haul trailer about 340 miles (one way) for an off road weekend.
My 2005 RC pulled it just fine; total weight of the Jeep & trailer was ~6600 lbs.

We need more pictures of the Camaro before we can made an informed recommendation :D

lol, just your typical maggie cammed meth geared suspension built 5th gen. Currently at 8psi, now we are going to push 12psi, hoping to be near 700rwhp/700rwtq, meth not tuned for power. With some creative weight reduction techniques I'm hoping low 10s. As soon as I get can a stroker and built trans in it I'm going to throw a 150 shot. I got the skinnies but since the car is used for street racing 98% of time I don't like rolling around on them.

Thanks man! I think it's the fastest 5th gen in Central America. Just impossible to get these cars to hook and their weight hurts them in 1/4!

awesome car bro!! Just be easy on that tranny and im sure you will be fine. Biggest issue is gonna be heat. Id let it cool down for a bit maybe half way there and check the fluid. add a bottle of lucas to it also

Lol. Thanks guys. Just my little pet project. Trying to make the truck quick also to surprise people but with ****ty fuel and no ability to truly data log the engine, I am scared I may blow it if I stick spray on it.
